KCFC has the finest group of coaches in the region. In the 2007-08 season, KCFC implemented a new club coaching structure which includes 3 Technical Staff Members and Age Group Coordinators for the three tiers/divisions (Colts, Juniors and Senior boys & girls): Colts (U8, U9, U10); Juniors (U11, U12, U13, U14) and Seniors (U15, U16, U17, U18).

Jon "JC" Collett
Jon Collett (JC) was born in Worcester, England. At 16, he was offered trials for the Aston Villa FC Youth team before captaining Worcestershire VI Form College. JC attended the University of Wales (UWIC) where he played for 3 years. He earned his B.A. (Honors) Degree in Sport Science and Post Graduate Degree in Physical Education. He is a qualified Phys Ed teacher and has taught in both the UK and the US. JC moved to the US in 1996 and has extensive coaching experience. He was one of the founding members of KCFC and was Director of Coaching for the club from 1999-2001. From 2002-2007, JC was the Director of Coaching for the KC Legends (high school aged players). JC holds the Welsh FA prelim award.

Richard "TB" Davies Technical Director Senior Girls Age Group Coordinator
Richard was born in Swansea, Wales. He played collegiate soccer at the University of Wales in Cardiff, where he earned a B.A. Degree in Sports Science and a Post Graduate Degree in Education. He holds a English Football Association coaching certificate and has coached here in Kansas City since 1996. Richard works for Heartland Soccer and GCI travel and was one of the founding members of KCFC. He is married to Mindy and they have a daughter named Dilyn and a son named Jac.

Steve "Shinner" Davies
Steve Davies, more commonly known in Kansas City as "Shinner" was born in Wales. He attended the University of Wales Institute Cardiff where he gained an Honors degree in Sport & Human Movement Studies and a teaching certificate in Physical Education. He has represented his Country at School, College and University level and played for Cardiff City as a schoolboy. He holds a UEFA Coaching License and has been coaching for over 15 years.

Chad Edwards
Chad currently coaches KCFC Arsenal U8b and KCFC Lady Hawks U8g. Chad also started his first season with Avila University Men’s Soccer program this fall after serving as an assistant coach at Missouri Southern University in the 2007 season. Chad brings a wealth of knowledge to both KCFC and the Men's soccer program at Avila being an important part of the day-to-day coaching and recruiting operations there. Chad played at Missouri Southern University from 1997-2000 and holds NSCAA Diplomas and USSF coaching licenses.

Peter "Harri" Harrison
Harri is from Mid-Wales and started coaching at age 18 for Central Wales Centre of Excellence under the tutilage of 2 time Wales Mens National Coach Mike Smith. Harri gained a BA Hons Degree in Sports Science and a Physical Education Teaching Certificate at the University of Wales, Cardiff Institute. He played for the college first team going on to represent Welsh Students and playing for a number of teams in the Welsh League. Harri taught High School P.E. for six years in the UK and as head of the soccer program at Penglais School in Aberystwyth, he coached the varsity team to the National Final Four 2 years out of 4. Harri holds a Welsh FA 'C' license, an English FA Teachers Award and has 17 years of coaching experience.

Gareth Hughes Technical Director Senior Boys Age Group Coordinator
Attended the University of Wales, Cardiff (formerly South Glamorgan Institute) where he gained an Honours degree in Sports Science and a teaching certificate in both Physical Education and Geography. Played professionally with Cardiff City (Wales) and semi-professionally in England and Wales for 14 years. Captained the Great British Universities team in the World Student 5 a-side Championship in Parma, Italy and was an ever present & captain of the Great British All Star Students team for four years. Earned Welsh Football Association coaching badge equivalent to USSF "B" Coaching License. Has 25 years of coaching experience, including 13 years in the United States, as well as 7 years teaching experience in the UK. Gareth is the National Tours Director with Challenger Sports and is one of the founding members of KCFC Alliance.

Paul Lawrence Junior Boys Age Group Coordinator
Born in Liverpool, England. Played semi-professional in England. Worked as a PE teacher for 4 years and coached Boys High School team. Spent 2 years in Saudi Arabia as assistant coach for Royal Saudi Air Force. Moved to USA in 1984 and has worked for soccer camp companies since then. Currently a Vice President at Challenger Sports. Holds a soccer license from England and an Advanced National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches of America Association. In 2002, Paul was named KSYSA Boys Coach of the Year.

Doug McLagan
Doug played professional soccer for 3 years with the KC Comets/Wichita Wings. He currently is the Blue Springs head soccer coach for boys and girls. His team won the 1996 Missouri state championship to become the first state champion not to come from a St. Louis school. Doug also was the 1987 girls ODP coach. He holds a United States "B" license and a Welsh Intermediate license.

Dave Morrow
Attended University of Wales , Cardiff (South Glamorgan Institute), graduated with a degree in Sports Science. He played for the College first team, as well as the all-Welsh Colleges team and then Somersham Town in the Eastern league before coming to USA in 1989. Dave worked for All-American Indoor Sports as a Director of Coaching and now works for Heartland Soccer Association. He currently holds the F.A. of Wales Preliminary Coaching award and also the U.S.S.F. "B" License.

Gareth "Gags" Pritchard Junior Girls Age Group Coordinator
Born in Bangor, Wales. Played soccer for Cardiff City, Caernarfon Town and Welsh Schoolboys. Gags moved to the US in 1987. He holds a Welsh coaching badge and owns Welsh Soccer Camps. He holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas and currently is a teacher in the Blue Valley School District. Gags is married to Karen and has three children: Rhian, Gavin, and Jac. Gags has coached 15 teams to State Championship titles. In 1998, Gags was named USYSA Region II Coach of the Year and NSCAA Region II Coach of the Year. His KCFC Alliance Revolution went to the Regional Semi-finals in 2002. In 2006, Gags was named Kansas Boys Coach of the Year.

Anita Rodriguez
Anita was selected as the first head coach of the UMKC women’s soccer program in February 2008. Rodriguez joins the Kangaroos after serving on the coaching staff at Kent State University since 2001. From 2004-07, Rodriguez was the associate head coach and recruiting coordinator, after serving as an assistant coach from 2001-04. During her time at KSU, Rodriguez helped guide the Golden Flashes to a pair of Mid-American Conference regular season titles in 2003 and 2004. Anitas was the head women’s soccer and softball coach at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pa., from 1999-2000. as she was the Pennsylvania State coach in the Olympic Development program, assisting with the under-14 girls and at the same time, she was the head coach of the Victory Express Club. She also served as the Director of Coaching for the Akron Metro Futbol Club. Rodriguez, who holds a NSCAA National and Advanced National Diploma and a USSF National License, earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Marywood University. She then received her master’s degree in sports administration from Kent State.

Huw Savage
Huw started with Avellino FC in 1994. He played collegiate soccer at the Institute of Sport, Wales before coming to the USA. He also enjoyed the significant honor of representing Wales in International Field Hockey and traveled across Europe to compete against Spain, France, Germany, Holland, USA, Italy, England, Scotland, Ireland and many more.Huw earned his Degree in Kinesiology and also gained his Physical Education Honors Teaching Degree from the University of Wales in 1995. He holds the British Football Association Coaching License and the U.S. Soccer D - License

Kevin Sloan
Kevin was born in Rostrevor, Co. Down, N. Ireland. He attended the University of Wales, Institute Cardiff, where he studied in Recreation and Leisure Management. He played collegiate soccer at UWIC and later played in the South Wales Senior League for Bridgend Street. He has been coaching since he was 16, and has an English FA coaching badge. Kevin came to the USA in the summer of 2001 to coach for Challenger Sports where he remained until 2005. While in this role, he directed summer camps all over the Midwest and also worked as a CCT assisting local coaches and clubs in the KC area. Kevin has coached for KCFC since 2003. He is also a substitute teacher for St. Agnes Catholic School and is also Facility Manager for Simply Soccer in Olathe.

Matt Walberg Matt grew up in the Kansas City area and has been a big part of soccer here. He attended Ottawa University and Baker University. He has been the head coach at Shawnee Mission East and North High Schools, and also at Ottawa University. In the summers he has worked at various soccer camps and also does goal keeper training. He was honored as the Kansas Coach of the Year in 1997 for both the National Soccer Coaches Association and Kansas Coaches Association. In 1998 he was named Kansas Coach of the Year by the Interscholastic Coaches Association, and in 2001 the KCAC Coach of the Year.

Huw Williams Technical Director Colts Age Group Coordinator
Born in Wales and attended Cardiff College where he played for the British Colleges and the All British Students teams for all four years - the last two years as captain. While at Cardiff, Huw was also selected to play in the World Student Games in Tokyo. As a player, Huw joined professional club Blackburn Rovers at age 14 where he played for 5 years. During this time he was "capped" by Welsh Schools and Welsh Youth teams. Huw played for the national teams for two years, the second as captain. Since arriving in Kansas City, Huw has coached 17 State Champion teams and is a former Director of Coaching for KSYSA and a member of the Regional II coaching staff. He attained a USSF "A" License in 1990. Huw currently runs the sports division for GCI Sports and was one of the original founders of the KCFC club.

Jonny Willaims
Jonny played semi professional for Rhy FC in the League of Wales for 3 years and was a runner up in the Welsh Cup Final. He attended Manchester Metropolitan University and played for the first XI where he enjoyed much success winning the British Universities National Cup two consecutive years.Jonny received his BA Honors Degree in Sport Science and Business Studies and holds a UEFA "C" coaching license. Jonny has coached for Challenger British Soccer in 1997 and 1998 and youth soccer at Charlton Athletic FC and West Ham United
